Using Colour To Increase Sales

a-tuscan-focal2I thought to share with you a technique I use to get shoppers to the back wall. Thus far, it has always worked. This is easy to implement and shops do have items they can use to create this flow. The photo below shows a feature display up front. Notice the use of red in this display. Most eyes will stop at a red colour and it definitely does in this case. Now, follow the red. Where does the red bring your eye to? The back wall. Where the eye goes, the feet almost always, follows, thereby ensuring full selling space penetration. I implemented this technique throughout the shop, using other colours and various items. For the first month, this shop’s sales went from $24 to $42 per transaction. Neat, huh?
