Could Ineffective Displays Be Partly Due to Poor Fixture Design?

Over my many years in retail, I realized that poor fixture design may result in ineffective displays that make it challenging for shop associates to work with. However, once stuck with this, what can we do? In this particular instance, these are some of the things we can do to make this display more appealing.
1. Keep the distance between the top faced out shirt 3″ from the bottom face out. OK, there are times this is not possible, then at the very least have the top garment NOT touch the face out bar below. Better yet, in this case, just not do 2 vertical face outs.
2. To encourage multiple sales, the face out can sport the orange shirt inside the white button down.
3. To eliminate the large negative space atop the side out displays on the left, have a shelf atop this with folded displays; or create a secondary focal display with the brand prominently displayed.
